Cosmos is an XScreeSaver module originally coded as a hack using svgalib. With
some minor prompting it was converted to an XScreenSaver module. It was inspired
by the work of the late Seumas MacNally. The original hack was created by Tom
Campbell. Since the original "office" release, countless contributions have been
made by Jim Tanner.

What's new?

Much to my surprise, we are getting some hits on the daily build. I guess we need to document the changes until I can get around to make CVS do it for me. Thus far, Jim has cleaned up the code to make the objects "instance aware" so we aren't wasting memory on duplicate objects. You can override color cycling by adding "-color hsv_value" to the command line. "And now for something completely different", you can add "-inverse" to the command line to get a "negative image".
Also, the link has been troublesome the past few days. I'm logging data to call my ISP. If you had trouble connecting, I'm sorry and hope to have it resolved soon.

The source has been synced, cleaned up and tagged. 1.0 is out, including source.

Jim appeared from the great unknown and after several failed attempts, He is hooked to the CVS server and the days of Email code updates and merges are over (WooHoo!). The code is back in sync, dead code is deleted, builds are built,
and after some testing, we should have the source in the next few days.

A FAQ.

I downloaded 3.028,
built it, and proceeded to configure XScreenSaver
for Cosmos. Much to my surprise, it was already there! No binary, but a
place holder and a URL. Many thanks to JWZ
for doing that. I figured it was time to get stuff to a web server I had
some control over, so here we are. Source code coming soon, I promise!!
